Each action that is available from the action toolbar is listed below. A short description is given for each. If any keyboard shortcuts are associated with an action, they will also be noted. Some actions can be executed in one of two modes, e.g. single or batch mode. In these cases, the primary mode of the action is triggered by left-clicking the button, the secondary by right-clicking it.
Attach all selected units to a target unit to be choosen in a second step. If the target unit is not an HQ but is itself attached to an HQ, ART will try to attach the selected units to the parent HQ instead.

Attach all selected units and to the most recent, previous attachment target.

Attach all selected units to a target HQ to be choosen in a second step. Switch to GEO mode, only displaying the selected units and applicable HQs. After target has been choosen, switch back to previous display mode.

Display a list of applicable HQs, sorted by the distance to the first selected unit. Attachment target can then be choosen from this list.

Attach all selected units directly to the theatre(s) they are (indirectly) assigned to at the moment. If there is no theatre in the line of command above an unit, this action has no effect on this unit.

Detach all selected units from their parent HQs.

Show an small window with an editable dropdown list. You can either enter a name directly or choose a template from the dropdown list. Enter a new name, then hit [Return] or [Enter] to exit edit mode and rename the unit, hit ESC to cancel the action. You can use placeholders in the name.

This follows the same procedure as the single unit mode, but if you confirm the changes, all selected units will be renamed. This action makes the most sense when using placeholders.

If a filter matches for the first selected unit and there is a template for this filter, the unit is renamed using the template.
Hotkey: [q]
Check for each selected unit if a matching filter with an applicable template exists. If such a filter is found, its template is used to rename the unit.

If a filter matches for any element that is part of the first selected unit and there is a template defined for this filter, the element is renamed using this template.
Check for each element of each selected unit if a matching filter with a template exists. If such a filter is found, its template is used to rename the element.
Remove the leader from the first selected unit and return him to the leader pool.

Remove the leaders from all selected units and return them to the leader pool.

Explode the first selected unit, i.e. each regiment is transferred to a new brigade and the original unit disbanded.

Explode all selected units, i.e. each regiment is transferred to a new brigade and the original units are disbanded.

Disband the first selected unit. Any soldiers left in the unit are returned to the manpower pool.

Disband all selected units. Any soldiers left in the units are returned to the manpower pool.

Under the following circumstances, it won't be possible to disband an unit:
Set AI stance for the first selected HQ.

Set AI stance for all selected HQs.
Hotkey: [H]
Select the target province by clicking the unit card of another unit. The unit is rebased to the same province. If you hold down [CTRL] while you click, it is rebased to the province were the home base of the other unit is located.

You can choose the target province from a list of all provinces with bases which are suitable for the selected unit.
Hotkey: [B]
Select the target carrier by clicking the unit card of the parent fleet. If the fleet only contains a single carrier, it will become the rebasing target. If the fleet contains multiple carriers, a list of all applicable carrier is displayed from which the target carrier can be selected.

You can choose the target carrier from a list of applicable carrier.

Since returning or sending expeditionary units using ART ignores certain in-game restrictions pertaining to these actions, they are disabled by default. You can enable them in the Options.
If the selection contains any expeditionary units, they will be returned to their owner(s) immediately.
You will be prompted to select a country from all countries that are either in the same faction or allied. Any expeditionary units from this country will then return to it immediately.
Tag the currently selected unit.
Select all tagged units.
